Greetings!
|
| |
On behalf of the UAE Internal Audit Association’s Board of Governors, I take this opportunity to thank the facilitators, members, sponsors and all who participated in the Audit Festival which took place from 11th to 22nd December 2011. It was indeed a historic event which was made possible with the vision and pursuit of a goal. The Audit Festival took place under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, in line with the UAE’s 40th Anniversary and the IIA Global’s 70th Anniversary. |

The festival commenced with the launch of the Arabic version of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification. After 10 months of dedication and hard work, the Steering Committee of the CIA Arabization was pleased to announce the launch of the long awaited Arabic CIA program. This was a joint effort of the Regional Chapters, namely Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon and Sudan. |

On the launch of the Audit Festival, presentations on Internal Audit were delivered simultaneously in 23 Colleges/Universities and High schools across various Emirates. We aim to further spread awareness and interest of the profession by covering more scholastic institutions by the second academic semester.
Last but not least, a charity event was organized, where IAA partners, sponsors, members and public were invited to football and golf tournaments in collaboration with Al Noor Center. The proceeds were gathered in a fund which was donated to the Centre which caters to children with special needs.
I would once again place on record my sincere appreciation of the efforts by all to make this event a success. |
